    Hey all-

I got a new PV for my CJ... its a GM style... the fitting on the valve that goes to the rear brake line is a 9/16-18 female and the fitting on the line is a 7/16-24 male (I think its 24)...
in addition, theres a 90* bend in the line (on both ends)...

    can someone either

    A) suggest a place to get a proper reducing fitting to keep the number of fittings to a minimum

    or

    B) suggest a GOOD flaring tool to make a IFF 45*?

I am assuming the fitting ont he valve is IFF, but I don't know how to tell the difference...

I have tried speedway motors, uline tube, and frankly, I am at an impasse

any help will be greatly appreciated

    thanks!

    :easy rider:

    have a great Wednesday!

I had the same issue with my 6...

we (auto part stores) sell conversion lines
what I ended up doing was making a new expansion coil with a 9/16 18 end to go into the prop valve and used a union to join it to the stock rear brake line fitting..

Im out the rest of the day, but I can duplicate what I did for you if needed

im not sure if a new coil is what I need... unless I am reading it wrong... im thinking the coil being the line that goes to the master cyl?

what I need is off the rear of the prop valve that feeds the rear lines... would of mine photo help?... maybe a photo of yours to help me understand?

if I AM in fact reading it wrong (which wouldn't be a 1st), then yes please! that would be most excellent!

PM me and let me know what I owe you

    thanks!!

ok now im ALL boned up...

I thought the bracket that you have holding the prop valve is/was for mounting the booster to the firewall...

am I REALLY that much of a goof?!!?

I was going to mount mine on the frame in its original position, but I SO like your set up better... keeps it out of the muck

that settles it... I am going to have to break out the parts tonite and have a closer look...

if I need to I can order the side bracket from speedway...

and, yes, please... hook me up with one of those lines... I REALLY like the way that worked out...

in fact, im going to print it out and use it for reference...

thanks rejeep!... and please... let me know what I owe you
