Anyone ever successfully try and fix one of these?

The cavity for the swivel for the e-brake is half gone. Was thinking I'd mig it a little at a time, using a wet rag stuffed inside and may be wrapped a few other places as a 'sink' of sorts.

Please ignore the paper products slated for the grinder.

Being that this is a main part of your ebrake. I would replace it with another piece, because if for some reason you did need that ebrake and it fails. Well you get the point.

If you don't have the transfer case parking brake, then I don't see why you couldn't weld it. Don't ask me the proper procedure on that though.

    OK,

I couldn't come to just junk it without trying in this case (it's a spare at the moment).

Broke out my mill file, the mig welder and some shielded gas, the angle grinder, the dremel with some round stone-polishing bits for 'filleting' hard corners then mounted in the drill press and re-drilled the holes needing drilling. There's what looks like a 'pin' hole from the mount side, as well as the e-brake mount hole.
