    Hello all,
I have run into some serious trouble in trying to find a new unbolt for connecting my front right part of the axel to the spring plate. I cut the old one to bits, and I cannot seem to find one that will slip over the differential the way it's supposed to. If you look at the image below you'll see how the first u bolt on the left goes over the differential case, and I am trying to find a u bolt that will fit my 1962 CJ5 with the stock axel.
    Thank you!

    No pic showing.

I got mine at a spring shop, they just looked up the specs in a book (this was a while ago :)) & made them up on a machine.

    What Howard said.
I know R&P stocks U-bolts. Not sure if they will have that particular one. Might give them a call at 503-557-8911.
Sometimes farm/hardware stores have a decent selection also.

Most FLAPS will have those bolts-just need to give the the diameter of the bolt and the OD of the axle along with desired length. Many decades ago I went through this trying to order them through 4 Wheel Drive Parts before I finally figured out my local shop (now O'Reillys) had much higher quality U-bolts for a lot less money. A second option is a lot of machine shops or trailer sales/repair shops have the blanks and dies to bend up what ever you want, including square bottom versions for a flip.

Check around, There has to be a good spring shop somewhere in your neck of the woods............most will bend a U-Bolt up as you wait.

If that doesn't work out, I have used www.uboltsdirect.com. I custom ordered u bolts for the rear differential. They were quick and right. I don't remember what I paid but it was not that much. I didn't have any luck at O'Reilly or Auto Shack.
