71 225 v6 how many quarts of oil

    I have a dipstick that's got a broken stop ring..so I don't know how much oil it should take.. i am thinking 5 quarts. with new filter. am i right?

    The stop ring (if you have it) sits between the two dimples and you can JB Weld it there and if you don't have the ring use a small washer.

    never really understood WHY it says on the dipstick 4 qrts ,,,,,very misleading
