Hey ya'll, just finished up another project to add to the shop. It's always nice to have the ability to bend thick plate steel. A lot easier to make brackets and custom do-dads with this little guy. I almost purchased a kit from SWAG, but I like making my own stuff.

The die is made from 5" wide by 5/8" thick hot rolled steel. Once its cut to length, I machined the edge at 60*

The die slides over 1" round stock 8" long. The sleeves welded to the die are 1 1/4" diameter and have a 1/8" wall.

The base is 3" wide channel with a piece of 2x2x1/4" angle iron welded to it.

I machined some scrap tubing I had laying around to help keep the ram in place.

Test piece is 1" plate 1/4" thick...I need to get some bigger arbor plates before I go to town with heavier stuff.
