73' Center console/speakers

I have a 73' cj5, i was wanting to put a stereo and a few speakers in it. Was looking at the center consoles with a stereo compartment. has anybody used these? Also, what about speaker boxes? are there any good pre-made to order ones? or am i going to have to custom make them?

 

I didn't find anything easily customizable when faced with this on my 73. My solution was a radio from retro sound in the dash giving the vintage look and 4 x 6 Polk plate marine speakers mounted in home electrical boxes.

 

There are premade consoles out there like Tuffy, Smittybilt, etc. that are also lockable. You might look in the fabricators section or do a search for "ammo box console" or variations of that. Many people on here have done this and there was lots of discussion about it and different ideas that worked for folks.
