Working on brakes on my 66 so i can put it on the road. 9 inch all the way around. Having trouble finding right wheel cylinders at advance, what is the correct part number? I figured it just best to replace all 4, safest too. Thanks, Geoffrey.

Don't know if this will help, but I just got all 4 for my 67 at Napa.

Jeep PNs according to Walck's -
RF 803640, same as Dorman W9005
LF 803639, same as Dorman W9004
    R (x2) 807357, Dorman W16535 or Wagner WC16535

All these numbers work for a PN search on RockAuto.com

They are rather expensive as wheel cylinders go; ca $25 each.

Probably. Ask the seller to give you the Jeep PNs or some equivalent.

If you take the Dorman PNs to your FLAPS, they may be able to match the eBay prices.

The 9" and 10" brake parts are expensive, compared to the 11" Bendix parts.

I don't know. The Walck's site says that the left and right fronts should be different. See if you can get the attention of Jim (jpflat2a) or Ken (oldtime).

The left front is diff from the right front because of the angle of the "S" tube. Both rears are the same because they don't use the "S" tube.

    Late type(post 1952) 9" BENDIX WHEEL CYLINDERS
    #807356 = 1" Left + Right = Cast # FD 7228 (early 9" front)
    #803639 = 1" Left = Casting #FD 9006 S2 (late 9" front)
    #803640 = 1" Right = Casting #FD 9006 (late 9" front)
    #807357 = 3/4" Rear = Casting #FD 7544 (all 9" rear)

The 1953-1958 CJ's used front cylinder #807356 with "S" tubes

All 1959-1971 CJ front axles with 9" Bendix brakes eliminated the "S" tube at the wheel cylinder.
Instead they use 11" flex hose attached at both sides of front frame.
The hoses thread direct onto the "rear ward angled" front wheel cylinder ports.
Hence RH and LH part numbers for the front cylinders only.

All 1953-1971 CJ's with 9" Bendix brakes use rear cylinder #807357

    Got that ?
