The vapor canister is missing off my cj6. Every time I start the jeep, it quickly floods the carburetor and pushes fuel out what I believe would be the outlet going to the vapor canister. What are best options? I have a couple of newer carbs but they are 4 bolt base and my intake is 2.

Check the basic condition of the carburetor. Classic symptom of debris in the float needle/seat allowing too much fuel to the carb float bowl. Also check the float to see if it is filled with gas (should be hollow and empty if brass, if neoprene they tend to absorb gas making them heavy)

The YF is known for sticking float issues, a Google search will turn up lots of reading material.

I've had 3 different YFs on my '73 including a factory rebuilt one. Each one has had this issue in varying degrees. I'm looking into changing out the needle and seat assembly once I can source the correct one.

On a 4-cylinder YF a lot of guys like to install a fuel pressure regulator, set to 3 psi. Eases the input pressure on the float needle valve.

Thanks for responses. Adjusted float valve tonight and fired right up and didn't overflow. Thanks again!
