I'm running a stock alternator, but I don't have any excessive electrical load requirements...yet. Been using Die Hard batteries for 20 years and have had GREAT luck with them. I just put a new one in the CJ last week for $82; a Die Hard SUV, Truck and Van model 34780T. 875 CCA advertised should work very well. I run Die Hard deep cycle batteries in my camper and they have survived numerous full discharge/ recharge without fail over the past three years. That may be something to look into if you do alot of winching... Just my .02.
