    Morning All-

    heres a dumb question...

    I have a 75 frame and a 76 tub... the engine is from the 76 as well (a 360)...

will the engine mounts from the 76 work on the 75 frame and if so... will someone PLEASE post a pic of how/where they go?

its been SO long since I took it apart that I cant remember... and this particular frame and mounts have never met each other

MAN, I feel like a dope

    TIA!!

I don't know if this helps but these are V8 mounts from a 75 as you would see them from the front of the jeep.

If the engine is a 360, it did not originally come from a CJ. If you have the original brackets for the 360 (from a Wagoneer or J-truck), they will not fit. If the engine was installed in a CJ, the brackets may fit.

Jeep calls these brackets (bracket to engine, bracket to frame), and the rubber part is an insulator. Note the part numbers for '75 and earlier and '76 and later are different. They may be close enough to work, but they are different.

Hum, dont want to argue with you but i did swap a 304 for a 360 2 years ago, using everything from the 304. I did use the mount from the 304 and didn't find any difference between those two. For insulator i look over my jeep part catalog and those are listed for 1974 to 1981.

Maybe there different mount by the time but i arent found any difference on mine.

Yes Texas, jeep is running good, put the beadlock and new heater recently and i love them. Jeep is almost perfect now :)

If you're doing lot's a offroading, i suggest you to buy aftermarket bulletproof motor mount, i had lot of problem from engine torque and OEm insulator break on me to ofter. Si i built my own motor mount using heavy suspension bushing and it work perfect since that.

You totally missed the point. Perhaps it was not clear.

The 360 came in a Wagoneer, never in a CJ. The mounts from a Wagoneer will not work.

You're right, but if he have the CJ 304 engine mount, it will work with the 360 without needing of any mod on the braket.

My 360 come from a waggy but i use the mount of my Cj 304.
