will someone please post either some GOOD pix (print or photo) of the way the 3 speed (76 CJ5) goes back in?

its been SO long since I took it out, I cant remember how it goes... and my other one HAS no tranny to use for reference...

maybe I should wait until I have an engine to bolt it to before I install it?... I was under the impression that the rear D/S would keep it from flopping around...

    suggestions?

    thanks!

For me it's easier to swing the whole thing in at once. I use a hoist on the motor and a tranny jack on the tranny. Rods with turnbuckles bolted where I can, and then fit/build the cross members or mount points.

Once you get it together, the pieces fit like a jigsaw puzzle and most of the issues become obvious (at least that's how I see them :D )
