225 T14 alignment tool

Does anyone know of a good source / part number for a clutch alignment tool for a T14 - 225? I don't have an extra input shaft. Any ideas will help, thankyou

 

You can usually buy them where you buy the clutch kit at. Sometimes, I think, they come in the kit.

 

The alignment tool should be the same for T-86, T-14 (V6/I6) T176, T4, T5.

 

Thanks, I didn't buy a kit, I bought the pressure plate and disc at NAPA years ago. This project got started and then put on hold for a divorce and two deployments. My daughter and I want to get it going again this summer. I did see some universal tools online they look pretty much all the same. This one is priced pretty reasonable, what do ya'll think?

I have one like that. Worked on a T-14 and T-90.

 

Alignment tool is different for V-6 vs I-6 T-14's. pilot is different diameter.

I have the plastic alignment tool your looking for. I also have the T 14 225 setup. PM me if your interested.

 

nick my chart shows both to be .590 on shaft dia. Can you give me the correct size for each so I can correct my chart please. Tnx Walt

 

I bought a universal one from sears years ago.. So far it has worked with everything From a Ford Fiesta to a 225 to a Bug to a BBC...

 

Next time I'm at the shop I will measure them for you. The I-6 pilot is visibly larger. I think it's the same as the T-15 pilot but would have to measure to be sure.

Walt, do you already have a chart listing the CJ transmission shaft and pilot diameters ?
We could sure use a complete chart listing all the various CJ sizes that were used.

 

oldtime the chart that I have shows info for T-84-5-6, T-89, T-90, T-14 V6,T-14 I6, T-15, T-18, T-98, T150, T-176, T-4, T-5.
