With the rockers off you can blow air down through that oiling hole without loosing oil prime in the pump. After doing this crank the engine and see how much oil is pumped out of that hole. There will be a pretty good stream of oil (supposed to be any-way) and may squirt outside of the head. I just did this on one of our engines. I then put the rocker assy back on and cranked the engine again and observed oil (small amounts) coming up between the rockers where they ride on the towers. You will notice a notch in the rocker (on the top edge) designed for this purpose. Note: during cranking with rocker assy removed, you won't have any oil pressure showing on the gauge because there is no restriction in the system. If you are still showing high oil pressure then it is still plugged.
P.S. Not to take away from what tarry99 sez, because he is correct for sure, but this engine already has metal floating around from the looks of that rocker shaft plus other areas that you havn't seen.

OK - worst case scenario I guess ... Blew compressed air down the hole and, where I was getting a gusher on pass side and dribble on drivers side before, now I get dribble on pass side and NONE on drivers side. Cranked it over for a while. Blew it out again and no difference. Pulled distributor and used my cordless drill with a ground down spade bit to turn oil pump ... then got a dribble on pass side (still nowhere near like before) and still NONE on drivers side. Did this for a while, blew it out again (can hear air coming out down low) and tried again, no difference - still very poor on pass side and NONE on drivers side. HELP!!! (tarry99 I know you told me so ... but I was looking at a very bad situation anyways)

Will try that ... does anyone have a drawing or schematic of the oil passages on the 225? Would love to see how the oil passages are all laid out.

OILING PROBLEM SOLVED!!! I had the lifters out ... once I put the lifters in, both sides were geysers! I did not come up with this solutions - my great friend Doug Hyde drove all the way down here from Woodstock, GA to look at it.

Nope, they were all in when I first looked at it and only a trickle on that side. Boy it sure runs better now! I put the worn rocker assembly back in for now and will get a new one ASAP ... not that hard to change out now that I've torn into the thing! Was already contemplating full rebuild, but I can drive it for at least a while!

Put it all back together, changed the oil and filter, and it runs MUCH better and quieter! Timing rock solid, need to adjust the mixture. Now that it's quiet, all I hear is Tcase noise ... never ends ... But that's why I love it! Going to get a new shaft/rockers for the drivers side ASAP.
