How to stop Bikini Top from flapping and beating my head

I do NOT have a roll bar but I do have a center cross member for the whole soft top. I use a half top all year round...and sometimes doors. On the inside top edge of the windshield are two footman loops that I installed with screws. They are slightly off center by about 4 inches to each side of center. Go to Jo Ann fabrics or similar CRAFT/SEWING store. Purchase 9 feet of 1 inch nylon strap. Go to REI and find strap locks that slide onto the strap, like on the kids book bag adjust the length. Install the strap between the windshield and YOUR rollbar tightly to STOP THE FLOP.

If I read the original posting properly, the starter of the thread is a GOOD word smith. How about eyehooks to the windshield frame and a pair of racket straps over your roll bar and set taught NOT set so hard that I injures the windshield frame.
