Dana 30 Drum to disc conversion

    I'm posting on behalf of a friend,

    What's the most cost effective way of taking a intermediate year D30 drum axle and covert it to a disc setup? Is it find a 76+ D30 disc D30 and strip off all the bits from the knuckle?
    Advise required as I have to try and source parts from my side of the world

    If you can find all the parts from a disc brake 30 that is the easiest way. Be aware the outer axles are different between disc and drum brake 30's so those will be needed as well. Try and get one in reasonable shape as all the bits and pieces can add up quick cost wise if replacement is needed. It needs to be from a CJ 30 also...
