The T90 will hold up fine if you are careful with it. You need a GM bellhousing though. I'm not sure what it would take to home make a swap kit but I would think it would be better and maybe cheaper in the long run to use one of the kits. Maybe not with the shipping, ect though

You can connect the T-90 to a Buick V6 if you have a machine shop and can make the adapter. Adapters for GM engines typically use the long input shaft from a Jeep Utility Wagon or Utility Truck to provide the extra distance between the bellhousing and the transmission for the adapter.

You should go back and read the Novak site carefully. All of this information is there.

The GM-to-T90 adapters appear on the used market quite often, and can be purchased cheaply. Watch eBay and the sales forums on Jeep forums like this one.

If you do not own a machine shop, the only way you are going to get a different engine or transmission into a Jeep is with a commercial adapter kit, or using junkyard parts from other Jeeps or (in one case only) an International Harvester truck. I expect finding the right junkyard parts in France will be very difficult to impossible.

If you use Google to search for old posts, you will find lots of discussion of this and related topics. This subject has been covered many times here, and you should not expect much enthusiasm for a repeat discussion. But the old posts are waiting for you in the archive. https://www.google.com/search?q=site:earlycj5.net Buick V6 T90 swap

Silly question- is the boat engine a reverse rotation unit? If so you could be in for an exciting (albeit probably short) ride :D

I see that you are very active : I have a Jeep shop not far, but for WWII, not for your job. I wish you good luck.
