    First off let me explain my background. I was given this jeep from my father that bought it from someone he knew. As I constantly took it mudding and trail riding I decided I wanted to pull the 258 out and Install a SBC 350 with many upgrades for it and other things.

    What I have done:

    pulled the t150/D20 out

    Bought;
    350 Vortec and I have broke down the motor to do some headwork and cam

    now for the questions I have.

    I pulled the Dana 20 transfer case from my T-150 trans and checked to make sure it would bolt to my T-18 and it bolts perfectly (no need in the other D20 I have)
    Now I noticed that my input shaft is WAY to long and I have figured out that I need a Ford T-18 input shaft (6 1/2 long) with a new 23mm bearing. Is there anything else I will need to make sure this transmission will bolt up to my SBC bellhousing? Fitting a clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing etc will come later I just want to make sure from my bellhousing back will be a perfect fit. Any suggestions or experience that will help me out? I have read Novak and AA but I would like to talk to someone that has had experience to really give me some ideas!
