CJ6a mods

    Ok,
    I am helping a friend upgrade his 67 CJ6a, Started out with wanting power steering, but it has taken a nasty turn.
    We are now doing a drive train change. From the donor car, a 1985 Cutlass Supreme (from which we were supposed to get the P/S parts), we are now taking the engine -a 3.8 carbureted.

    Today, we acquired a TH400/D20 combo and drive shafts from a 72 Commando:AMC:. We also got the whole steering system (steering wheel, column, shaft, P/S box and bracket, and TR's).

    I think we are good to go to make this a nice driving rig. Am I forgetting anything?

    I would load some pics, but I haven't figured it out. Keeps wanting a URL rather than upload from the computer....:rofl:

    You have to upload your pic's to a third party like photobucket or the like and then copy and paste to this forum.

    OK, turns out that I need a adapter ring for the transmission.
    I believe it was used not only with Jeepsters, but also with some FSJ's.
    Does anyone have a ring that goes from the Universal Th400 to BOP?
