Steering linkage Lengths

I have a question about steering linkage lengths on the different axles. I am going about upgrading my steering on the 69 CJ5. Im getting rid of the stock "Y" linkage and going with a straight tierod from knuckle to knuckle. My front axle from center hole to center hole on the knuckles measures 41 1/2 inches. Alot of what I had been reading said it should have been shorter because its a Dana27. Can you guys confirm if the Dana 30 has the above measurement. I guess its moot however as seeing I need something that fits my Jeep. I was looking at just buying the set up at Herms. http://hermtheoverdriveguy.com/?page_id=1287
Yes I am putting in a steering box up front. Saginaw 122 box.
    Any suggestions observations. Thought I had a 27 not a 30?

Pretty hard to mix up a 27 and a 30.

The 30 for a CJ has open knuckles - you can see the axle U-joint that lets the wheel pivot so you can steer. A 27 is closed-knuckle, with the u-joint hidden inside a big steel sphere full of oil and grease.
