    Hey guys,

Have you ever seen this? I was starting my t-90c conversion on my 62. the longer input is the one I just took out of my t-90a the shorter one is the t-90c input. Why is the t-90c input shorter than the t-90a input? never seen this before. Any ideas?

Probably from an International Scout 80.

I'm the one that sold that to Jason and didn't know it was different (not much of a Scout person) along with the bottom gear cluster it mates with. Always had it off the side so I never dawned on me to check the length.

Nick - the rest should be fine?

I'll have to help Jason find one since I got him in this mess :( I stopped looking at the T90C stuff years ago when I changed directions for my builds.

Look at the teeth and make sure they are cut the same direction as Jeep. Some IH T-90's are cut backwards. If cut the same way then you should just need a main drive gear and front bearing retainer to match. Assuming the tooth counts are the same which I "think" (going from memory here) they should be.

The desired maindrive gear must be used with the appropriate countershaft gear.

The T90 A has 18 driving teeth on the maindrive gear and 33 on the driven counterstaft.
The T90 C has 16 driving teeth on the maindrive gear and 35 on the driven counterstaft.

The Jeep T90 C maindrive gear is about 1/8" longer than the Jeep T 90 A maindrive gear.

Judging by the teeth spacing on the photo, it does appear the teeth count is different on those, along with the length difference.
