I'm new here and thought I'd start a thread about my '74 CJ5.

I bought this Jeep a couple of years ago for $500. It had been in a flood but the previous owner changed all the fluids as soon as the water went down. I've had to do a lot of work to it but the only flood related issues I've had was a rusted up clutch, rusted up fuel tank, and a thick coat of mud on everything underneath.

I'm not trying to pass it off as a military Jeep but I also fool with military vehicles so I used a lot of the parts I had to fix up the old CJ. The instrument panel is from a Kaiser M715, the blinker switch is from a old M35 deuce and a half, and the seats cushions are from a M38a1. I also added a couple of shackle mounts from a M35 which also allows me to use my military tow bar. After all that I gave it a coat of camo paint.
