So I am finally getting around to starting my build thread for my 1960 CJ5. I bought it in february and didn't do much to it until last week when my high school senior project started. My project is restoring my CJ so I spent all last week working on it. It took me a day to get the timing set and fuel pump going, but it now runs nicely. I spent the rest of the week getting it all disassembled and finally got the tub off today. So now for the good part the pictures:

More pics of the sad state of the tub will be uploaded later.

    Looking good,

Make sure you label the bolts and bag. I got my jeep in hs and was doing the same thing. I couldn't remember where most of the bolts went after 6 months..

aallison 74 cj6, 76 cj5. Has anyone seen my screwdriver?

What a cool project. What class is this for?

x2 on being very careful labeling everything. From experience, take the stuff off, clean it in a parts washer, and bag and tag it. Get a good thread cleaning kit. Mine came from sears. Each bolt hole needs to be cleaned up as each bolt is removed if it is anything like my jeep.

Don't worry, I've bagged and tagged every bolt and screw that I haven't had to grind out haha

Its not for one particular class, all seniors get the last 3 weeks off from school to do a project. Most people are doing a boring internship but I chose my CJ.
