Drove the jeep today and it just runs rough. At cruise speeds it runs pretty good, but when off the line and till about 40 you can hear the misfire and runs rough. It really is bugging me, i am about to take the heads off and pray for a bad valve since i believe i burned them up on the passnger side. Here is the compression test post from a while back http://www.earlycj5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7771&page=1&highlight=compression I know i probably need rings but i am thinking the valves have alot to do with the misfire and bad idle. I have an exhaust leak on the passenger side also (hence why i know it is the passenger bank) maybe that is aggrivating the situation. I really dont have time for a rebuild now. Do you think it is a good possiblity that maybe th evalves are to fault?? I know i should get a leakdown tester, but i just want to get a fix for right now adn the heads are reasonable, and they would be already done when i put rings in. What do you guys suggest\?

with that big of difference, one thing, rebuild time. coulkd do the heads and hope that helps, but a few more hours and "new" motor.
