got about 10 minutes on lunch today where I could work on it. Got the original dual mc placed back on the frame rail. Getting some correct bolts to mount it and I'll hopefully be able to undo the lines and re-route them where they belong.

Towd the jeep into work yesterday. Wanted to bleed he hrakes and some other minor stuff to get it ready.
Master cylinder is leaking at the pushrod. So now I'm trying to find another mc or a rebuild kit:( this thing just does not want to be back on the road

At least I finally got a new plate this week8)

Got the new mc today. Fittings are bigger so I'm going to look for some adapters on lunch. Went to I stall the overdrive and found my output gearon the trans had about 1/4" end play. Luckily found the shim that was supposed to be there. Need to get the lock washer and square snap ring for od now...

    this thing is killing me.

I got the brakes bled out, changed trans and tcase oil. took it out for a 6 mile ride(most its been on for about 3 years total) and it just doesn't want to stay running when you come to a stop. Really hard to press gas and brake to keep it going.
The accel pump doesn't seem to be squirting much, it was new 2 years ago and probably 5 miles on it since then. plus the 6 yesterday. I hit the throttle shafts with brake clean and it reved up so have some wear on the throttle shafts too.

If I get time at work today I'm going to pull the carb one last time and check the accel pump at least. Hopefully I can get it to work for the rest of the year and send the carb out for new bushings this winter.

How many inches of clearance do you have between the core and fan? Im replacing my busted original '69 2 row with a 3 row, so it will be about an inch wider than factory. Im trying to figure out before it gets here if I will have to spring for an electric fan, or if I can leave the factory one on it.

I can measure later but I ended up recoring the original radiator that came with it. or would have come with it at least. Got a used factory one and recored it.
I found there's not alot of room for an electric fan unless you get a really thin aftermarket fan. I found one from an old chrysler minivan that may have worked if I played around enough. Think the cherokee fan would have fit better. The water pump sticks out right about where you would want the fan motor to go.

--found the accelerator pump torn in the carb last week. I stuck the old one in and it works good for now. Ordered a new one and it came today. Hopefully I'll get it on tomorrow and see how much better it runs. Still runs rich so I might put the next sized down jets back in. Think I went up a size last year or so.

I'll get a couple pics of the jeep at some point here.

Driven it about 5 or 6 times now to work. Got most of the bugs and lights worked out. Carb is still giving me fits, but I'm pretty sure it's due to the throttle shaft being worn and sucking in extra air at times. Sometimes it will idle down just fine. Stop at a light and take off and it doesn't want to idle without stalling. So carb is going to be sent out this winter for a rebuild or I'm going to really look into the megasquirt fuel injection.

Steering is tight and no shimmy or death wobble so far with the dana 30, but the ross box is binding up. I've got everything for the saginaw power steering. Had it on the jeep last year so I know it will all bolt back on. That WILL go back on this winter.

The stock exhaust Ypipe is in the way of the front driveshaft(currently only has rear installed). I'll get new exhaust installed this spring after I get the driveshaft put in and power steering is installed.

Gotta paint my grill to match. The empire blue does not go well with Sunburst orange... I'm hoping to get 2 new front fenders as well. I'll get those over the winter and paint them to match by the spring.

So untill November or snow flies in September at this rate(low of 47 last night) I'm going to keep driving it.

It sunburst orange. Was a stock color for jeeps in 09. The lighting in the booth gives it a odd reflection.

Yes. The ram and dakota used it and I think the avenger liberty and wranglers. It did change slightly over the years.

Now that the grill is freshly painted those chrome trim rings look like crap...
