I was thinking of getting a pair of smittybilt lowback seats for my 69 cj5, since my seats are pretty ratty. Just wondering if anyone has tried them and if they liked them and are they a direct bolt in.:v6:

I have a 69 i put smittybilt lowbacks in it the seats are very comfortable but sit up higher than the originals and no the passenger seat i had to drill new holes and use nuts and bolts.
also I bought besttop seat covers just for added protection

any estimate as to how much higher they are?

Looking at the picture, it appears the seat is further forward and would be hard on the leg room. I guess I need a piece of foam rubber to go over the implement seats that someone prior bolted into mine

These are the Smittybilts in my 69. I've never had original seats. It had seats from an import car when I got it, so I can't comment on the height difference, but they seem to be a good height for me. I'm 5'9". Sieg, thanks for the Quadratec info, I'll look. I'm afraid the dog is gonna poke holes in the passenger seat!
