Last October, two Ramsey MX200R's were posted on Denver's Craigslist. I made contact and the guy wouldn't ship, so I had one of my old rugby buddies do a drive by. Looked promising, for $200 why not. So I met em in Vail and did the transfer.
One was an MX200R, the others' placard was missing but had a 12" drum. So then drove my junk to Six States PTO shop SLC, chatted up the pros about sourcing a short drum and shaft for the MX. Well months go by and I'm sidetracked with other projects. Friday morning I roll down the hill to check progress, he can't souce anything shorter than 12", which I already have. I was thinking of converting it to a Y-200, so it'd fit between my frame rails, but then you cant spool hardly anything on. Nutz...
So I grabbed the junk and flew home. Spent Friday night cleaning her up, light rebuild and I'm in business!
Spent this mornin' in the Walmart parking lot spoolin out 125' of wire rope off the X-246L-369. (No freespool) Rolled home, pulled the '69 Ramsey-figured out how to install the brand new-'58?
Now I've got a freespoolin', non leakin', clutch workin', brand new lookin' PTO.
The hell with fittin' her between the frame rails, for 90% of what I do, it'll be just fine...Now I've got to find another garage space so I can cross a few others off the punch list.

Unspooling the winch in Walmart parking lot. I bet that got you a few strange looks. It is bad when you are mall crawling and get stuck and need a winch. Ha Ha Just kidding:rofl: Nice score.
