I was thinking of changing out the freeze plugs in the F head I'm rebuilding. My question is they look different than most modern plugs I have changed in the past. Can you just tap them out with a screwdriver and hammer? Are they any different than the typical cup style in modern engines?
    Thanks guys,

My f-head manual says "pierce and pry out." I think drill, tap-thread, and pull, may work too.

Use sealant on the new ones.

Thanks man, I guess I should have looked at my manual. I can use the cup style with sealant when replacing the new ones yes?
