I have a 73 cj5 with AMC 360 v8. I just installed a new starter, solenoid, and battery. With all new batt and starter cables. I go to crank it turns over fine for a min. The next time i turn the key it does nothing. I checked the wiring all seems good. I jump the terminals on the solenoid and it worked perfectly. I waited a few mins and then it started again. Worked fine. I then stopped and tried it again and nothing happened. I have tried this over and over a few times and I have to wait a few mins before it will crank again. What could this be?

You will have a light blue wire that runs from the solenoid up to the plug on the back of the ignition switch. The plug-in to ign switch is probably corroded and requires cleaning or you may have a switch going bad.
