overdrive install

    working on my 69 cj5 134f installing my saturn O.D. I've watched 2 vidieos and have searched this site I pulled the plate and the nut but am having trouble getting the gear out the vidieos show them removing it by hand mine is not budging is it okay to use a puller I am probably being over cautious but i want to get this right the first time

    It should indeed slide off the splines. If there is no load on it (out of gear-tcase in N), the splines could be burred or something. There should be no problem using a gear puller on it.

    thanks the directions said put tranny in reverse I will put both in neutral and give that a try thanks for the quick reply
