I found these angle brackets in a drawer. I believe they are to mount garage door track, and they are rigid and galvanized. I had been wanting some hinge mounts for lights, and there aren't any off the shelf for our hinges. These turned out great. I ran the wires while I had the windshield folded down this weekend to install my new defrost duct.

No. We have had the jeep for 35 years and never did. The Meyers top rarely has come off. We usually just pull the doors off.

If you're looking to add extra lights and still fold the windshield down, it might be possible to get some clamps and mount a set to the mirrors.

Are you running the wires between the windshield frame and tub? If so you’ll need to route them differently as the windshield frame will eventually pinch the wires and short them out.

They are between the cowl gasket and tub. The drivers side comes up with the windshield wiper motor wires, and I drilled a hole on the passenger side in the same general location.

They are KC Rally 400's (4" driving 55w). I don't have a true need for the long range lights. I just wanted some more lights. I'm the one that linked to my eBay listing for some unused Slimlites I had recently. I don't have an opinion of these yet because I haven't used them yet. Since I installed them, I have been refurbishing my heater, so my coolant is drained.

I like the way they look. Do you get much reflection off the hood?

Some, but it is dependent on the type of beam. These are just some flood types. Pencil beams would work best since they would project past the hood.

Nice and clean! I thought they would look larger. I might have to steal this idea. I can't put my windshield down because I can't find the stand off brackets for the early windshield with wipers up top.

These are 4" and not the 6" typical lights you see.
