    i have put a D30 out or a '78 CJ7 you have to weld on new perches but you can pick them up for relatively cheap. an axle out of a newer jeep ('87 and newer) will not work because they swapped the front axle pumpkin from the passenger side to the driver side and that will not work in your old cj unless you completely swap out everything.

    Wouldn't that mix narrow and wide track axle widths though?
