Just a correction to my previous post.

The bolts used from the factory are 3/8" diameter with a 9/16" head. Picked up all my hardware today and realized my mistake. Also, factory bolts/nuts are FINE thread. Not sure that makes too much difference, but it does help explain why it took so long to remove the originals with a rachet and a regular wrench!

thank you all for your input. i wanted to make sure i got the correct stuff. i guess just put a large washer between the bolt head and body, then between the body and puck, then between puck and frame? i also ordered what was advertised as a complete hardware set but seems to be short a few pieces. the jeep currently has about a 2 1/2 inch body lift on it, the po notched the hole for the t-case shifter, other than that no problems to speak of other than the clutch geometry being kinda screwy.
i found the under body stringers at the following website, they are about half way down the page.

This thread is a good example for me to stay out of the "Intermediate CJ forum". The early 'A1's are much different, as I found out today.
I do appreciate you taking the time to post your comments though :)

Stock body mounts for a '75 CJ-6 - I'm sure the rest of the intermediates are the same.

This is under the firewall, and the bottom puck squishes to permit body flex.

This is under the flat part of the floor, and is typical of the rest of the rubber puck mounts. Washers on the frame and over the body metal, but nothing else besides the puck and a bolt.

thank you for the pictures. that explains it perfectly. the rubber piece that goes under the frame attachment point is what i was wondering about. the kit that i bought did not come with anything to go under there.
