I'm not sure what the name of it is but I got it at McKenzie's Off-Road in Anaheim. (they're on the web). Its a twist lock and they even have a locking cap also (keyed).

Oh, I forgot another item on my todo list!
Finish tie Rods (having issues with not getting full lock to lock)

    Jim,

Nothing new in the way of pictures to share, just trying to tie up the last few things. Working 12-14 hours a day doesn't make it easy on chasing loose ends either.

Trying to get the windshield glass installed (since painting) and the new seal I bought doesn't work so I had to track another down.

Trying to finish my tie rods since I wasn't getting full lock I needed to make a few adjustments.

Need to extend my carb vents but can't find any 5/16 tube, just stupid stuff that is holding me back.

It runs and is tuned and ready to roll, I just can't steer it yet.

Once it rolls then I need to have a top made for it. (not a full top)

If you're ever going down the 15 towards Temecula or SD just let me know and I'd love to show her off to ya!

Your quick progress on yours is pushing me to get mine finshed before you make me look any worse then I already do.

More progress, no pictures! I finally got the glass back inthe windshield after I found out the seal I bought online was wrong so I had to do it again. It's all mounted and ready for action with mirrors and hardware all reinstalled.

Was ready to drive it when I found out the PS pump was quite up to snuff for my Hydro boost and PS, so I ordered a special one with dual returns and more umph!

Having an icechest made and when that comes in I'll shoot some ne photo's and add them to my Photobucket so you all can checkem out.

I can't believe how long these little things take when you can only devote a small amount of time to them. Patience I suppose!

Looks good!! Can't wait to do some riding with some other CJ6's out there.
I don't think my little stock 6 is going to be able to hang with you and Jim S on the trails though! :)

After being reminded how well stock Jeeps wheel on the trail I would'nt worry too much about keeping up with a few modified 6's on the trail!

It's so close now I'm starting to daydream of my next project, "hey honey can I have the keys to your Jeep I have a few ideas"

Hey Jim, did you wipe all the pine tree from your flatty yet?

    A major accomplishment today!!

I started and drove the CJ6 for the first time ever! Drove it around the block to check for bugs and parked it back in the garage for the once over before it gets a real shake down.

Found out my wiper motor is bad (question in another post).

Leaving for the Baja 1000 tomorrow so no Jeep time until next weekend.

I'm so excited that this day finally came, it's been a long time coming.

Hope to have her in the dirt by Turkey Day.

Lots of details there...I think you gotta (hint) magazine (hint) feature (hint) Jeep...:)

That would be cool but I still need to run it a few trips before I pull the body back off and finish painting the chassis. Kind of silly how it worked witht the top being 100% finished and the bottom not but I didn't want to have to change something on the frame or suspension and have to repaint.

So, the short story is that it isn't magazine worthy yet, well at least show worthy.

Gonna actually go to the desert with it next weekend, I'm so excited to try it out.
