For me, those are *yawn*. See them at every car show. MsBoyink had a '68 when we got married but it was a low-level 307 Powerglide. Sold it to my father in law.

That’s for sure, they are very common, it was just a whim and now it’s passed;)

That's too bad cause I like it. Plus the 68's are not all that common here in Kalifornistan. I would also be nagging you to go 396. Once you go big block, you never go back.

Besides the window frame issues it looks pretty nice. However, the window frame issues look hard to fix.

I wish the had posted more pics of the bad. If the rust is anything like that other Chevy I went to see, I’d have to pass. If anything one could probably get their money back out of it. There is some money spent on the diff and suspension.

The frame rot is not a deal breaker. Buy a new and better frame/chassis from Art Morrison, Roadster Shop, etc.

Now maybe that body cancer is a deal breaker.

Yeah, it's kind of fun just to imagine, until one faces reality, "in person", like what happened!! I went back to asking that person about the Chevy SS to send me some pictures. It doesn't hurt to ask, right?

Wow, I came across this '63 Dodge Dart Hemi and is good different. I've never seen a Dodge dart at the local car gatherings.

Just something to add to my candidate list;)

This FB is a '64 ,but in Illinois. I like the grill from the '63 much better. Sadly Illinois is just too far:( Seems like all the cool cars are further north!

Also wondering how one gets the rear wheels off?

Reminds me of the Dodge turbine car, and of course Jay Leno has one!

That was always my favorite generation of Dart from a styling standpoint. Good looking cars.

Cars of this era, used bumper jacks. Therefore when a tire was being replaced and the car jacked up, the rear axle would drop (droop) allowing access to allowing removal of the rear tire.

My first car was a '70 Dart so I'll always have a soft spot for them. I've never seen an early 60's one that I cared for, but that one is cool. Reminds me of a Rambler American.

I second the big block/Chevelles. At least the A body GM cars have a frame under them. You also need to experience a big block Chevy. I have a ‘66 Malibu convertible project waiting, and a 427 ready to drop in when the rest of the car is ready. Old School!
The Mopars (and AMCs) you are looking at are unibody, and unless you find a true rust-free project, you will be chasing patch panels till you go crazy. D’ne, at least Texas is a dry state where there are still some clean example still out there.
    Keep looking!

Thank you Donny, I must say that a frame is rather nice vs unibody. However, I'm still going to go look at the car in question. I did receive a message from the seller and the person plans to take more pics as I've requested. My husband doesn't want me to be disappointed like the last Chevy that I looked at(regarding being totally rusted out). It's only a little over 3 hours away and I can handle that, even if just to drive there less a trailer and witness the thing. Just can't get the real idea of how bad/or "ok" the rust is. Even my Bronco, I really didn't know the How bad of rust it had until after having it sandblasted! omg But, I'm ready for another hefty challenge, just not a total basket of rust; I can do floor pans and would expect this Dart to be like the Flintstones car~

This was my '67 Mustang in '08 and I survived it and is still my favorite classic;)

Check the torsion bar mounts. Any rust through where the sub frames tie to the floor run away.

I'm thinking to go there, actually only a couple hours away~ thought it was further. So, I'll bring a couple floor jacks, jack stands and get it up off the ground. If all looks well and like Howard said, checking out the torsion bar mounts look good, I guess I'll remove the wheels, or at least see which ones will hold air(doubt if any will). I can imagine the floor pans and trunk floor being bad(hopefully not). If I make the decision to buy, I'll bring the wheels back home and buy some really cheap tires or maybe the seller will help. Then go back to complete the deal and haul it home. The place is actually a car dealer. When I asked if the car has a title, they said as a car dealer, it has to have a texas title to sell. so that's good.

The next trick is getting it home. Our 14' trailer I don't think we'd be able to haul it or maybe we can. The Bronco took up the entire trailer and I do have an electric winch to pull it on. So, we're thinking to trade this trailer in for a 16' car hauler, but not one with the dove tail~ hm, don't know. Gary's bugging me to go get coffee~ I'll be back;)
