I really like how accessible your fuse block is! Do you have a plan on how to waterproof it?

I may have to modify my wiring harness (currently in progress) to have the fuse block in the same area.

Thanks! Hopefully with the hood down no water should get there. The fuse block has a cover, that should suffice if here is any little moisture.

That's a neat looking bundle. Are you going to label things? Might help trouble shooting in the future, and you know where everything is now.

The wires have printed out on them names. Not necessarily what I have used them for but they are traceable. I might put labels with numbers on them to make them easier to follow. But on the other hand, there are only a few circuits. This harness is a 12 circuit module I bought at 30 something dollars instead of a painless at several hundreds. So far I think I have enough for what I need.

An "almost finished" harness. The yellow wire dangling is for the fuel pump. I will later wrap around the bundle a plastic coil that makes it look more neat.

This schematic turns the brake light into a "turn" signal...pun intended! That way I do not have to run an extra wire and change the tail lights. Mine (not the originals by far) have only position, brake and plate on one.

After some initial trouble I got the engine to start! I am really happy! It sounds great! I need to check the timing and adjst the carburetor but that is all.

My solution to the brake light. I have seen here a few failures on the brake fluid switch and decided to go mechanical. The bracket will go under the floor aligned with the pedal and hooked by the spring wire. Hope it works!

A very frustrating feeling, having everything in place to see a few things not working! My alternator lights is acting up and now my temp gauge stays on cold even after warming up the engine.

I tested and I have 12 v at the gauge but no 5 v at the bridge. I made sure it was properly grounded when I installed it but I guess is cluster out and redo it again.

Man this is looking nice! Bummer about the temp gauge - hope it's an easy fix. I am going to print out that pic above of your firewall and tape it up in my garage for inspiration!

Thanks! I already ordered a step-down 12v to 5 v dc to remove the risk of the internal voltage regulator ruining (if not already) my gauges. I hope that is all!
