maybe I have it upside down. I connected the two short bolts and got a 1/3” gap on the longer bolt mount. Seems like this is the only way the holes all line up.

    Here’s the gap.

Maybe the donor vehicle had a slightly different head casting???? Looks easy enough to correct with a couple of flat washers or a short spacer of some kind. What did the bracket come off of?

There is a bracket with your pump that goes in the gap.

Search on car-part.com, that's where I found mine last year, off of a 70 skylark with the 350.

Thank you. Is the pump from the same application or just the mount?

The pump, the pulley and stamped steel bracket came from a junkyard in Pa.

Here’s the update. The pump is mounted and the steering gear is in place. The pulley doesn’t line up at all. I’ll have to make some spacers this week.

I've been through this. There are at least 3 different pulleys depending on application/ donor vehicle. I don't know if the nut type pumps accept the press on style pulleys. Lots of help huh?

The pump and resovoir can be separated. You could install a later pump with a press-on pulley into that can. It would open up more possibilities. Is the period correct pump just like the one you have or is it a press fit.
