    Holy :poo:!

I just used an old Harley clutch cable I had left over.

Nice. You do more in a couple of days than most of us might complete in a year. (y)

It's finished. It just needs paint and some cotter pins. If this works as planned, this will be a major improvement over the old setup.

I just filled the reservoir to the top... we'll see how big the puddle is under it in the morning. :worry: So far, so good; no visible leaks yet. I'd be really surprised if I don't have repairs to make on that expanded tank.

That's a pretty clever lever. How much strain is on the pivot point? Maybe tack on a small gusset?

    Great job as usual.

Thanks Focker. It's a 3/8" tab with a 1/2" bolt as a pivot point. It pulled up a hair when I welded it, and it took a large wrench prying while hitting it with a BFH to get it to budge. In comparison, I don't think it will ever feel it's every day stresses. It's hard to tell in the pic, but I welded a sleeve in the square tubing that runs the length of the pivot, so the stresses are transferred along the length of the bolt, not just the top. Thanks for the input.

After it's all done and working, I'll shoot a video of it all the pieces operating together.

I think, aside from my 2a, this 3b might be my favorite jeep ever.

I've got the original Meyers setup (hilo to the valve under dash) but it's effectively the same thing. I love plowing with it. Good work!

I braved the blizzard conditions outside and hooked up the plow. It is easily 5x faster than the old way, even just at idle. Loving it!!!!

I had one more thing on my "plow wish list" that I bit the bullet and got done today. I do 99.9% of my plowing at a left angle. At full angle, the 6' plow doesn't quite cover the path of the tires, so I'm constantly compressing fresh snow and causing hardpack. I widened the blade by 9 1/2" on each side. I started by bending up these wings, tacking them in place and building around them.

And here you can see how short it was before, vs. how wide it is now. Should be much better.

This whole thing is just amazing. How did you bend that arc? I'm trying to figure out how to do that with some aluminum.

Yep. Cool stuff you're doing. To me, this is the root of JEEP life. And I am still in love with the paint job on this JEEP. It truly has helped me to like the 3B series more. I may copy it on my B if I keep it if you don't mind.

I'd need a half cab on there though, if I was plowing. Just to help keep the coffee warm of course,.......not me.

    Thanks guys!

You might be out of luck with aluminum without a press, unless it is a narrow piece. Even with 1/8" steel, I was about at my limit. I used varying arrangements of angle iron and c- channel clamped to the front bumper of the 3A. I was able to put minute bends every 3/4"-1" to form the arc without heat, but to make the sharp bends I had to use the torch to get the line cherry red before attempting to bend it.

You like the paint? In 21(?) years of owning this thing, I think that's the first time I've ever heard that. Feel free to copy. I found it works best to lay a white base coat, then gray, then black. Touch-up is a breeze! Just be prepared to hear people call it a Holstein.

I plowed a bunch in enclosed vehicles, and I'll tell ya... I wouldn't trade open-cab plowing for the world. Visibility is king, and you never have to deal with fogging windows. The only drawback is when you get going a little too fast and the snow comes up over the plow and in your face. :susp:

Man. This is awesome work! I love CJ plow rigs. You're absolutely right. The visibility is huge.

I kinda wanna make a wing on just my drivers side.

I'm kinda excited to see how the TrueTrac does..
