I got a half cab and doors. I took it off. Visibility is king. I love ITLKSEZ's 3B. This thing is sweet. I love old Jeeps, modded to be useful in whatever niche they serve, and clocking meaningful hours. Good stuff.

Thats the one drawback to the dually axle on my plow jeep. The outter tires ride on the snow just pushed to the side.

Maybe i miss the post, but how did you hook up the hydrolic to keep the steering with the plw ram?

Now i use my winch for getting up the blade but i like the idea of the cylinder giving more down pressure on the blade (for reverse plowing).

I do lose my power steering while lifting or lowering at full capacity, but 99% of the time I'm using the hydraulics with one hand and shifting with the other with no hands on the wheel, so it's really a non-issue.

If you use down-pressure for plowing snow, you might get into trouble by digging into dirt or catching on every little snag in the road. I'm still using a chain to lift the plow. I'm not sure how you could just apply "some" down pressure with still allowing it to float over surface variations. I've added weight to my plow by hanging a row of cement blocks off the blade to cut through hardpack with results that were satisfactory.

Let's put this thread to bed. I cut up two old tires today and made a guard across the top of the plow, trying to keep the blow-over to a minimum. I also stuck a spring-mounted 1/2" bolt up through the corner, and stuck a piece of plastic sprinkler pipe over it as a marker.

I went ahead and dug the windshield out of storage too so I can run a bikini top. I'm sure I'll rip it back off the first time we have freezing rain...

Bring on the snow! I'm ready this year!!
