Finished up the fuel line from the pump and vacuum line. I gotta attempt to get the water pump fitting off to put a bypass line in. Wish me luck the fitting has been on since 1960. and looks welded in place.

Lol awesome ghetto fab sandblasting box... patten pending.
Your power king tires are cool I Run them as well750x16. However the first drive on those bias tires after sitting for awhile is promblematic... the flat spot is bad until tire warms up and reshapes I guess, that’s the trade off of a bias tire??

That's been my experience with bias ply if they've been sitting awhile. You can mitigate that some by keeping them inflated to full pressure.

Not much experience with the bias ply yet. I however know all about the flat spots my other car gets put away for the winter and it sure is a fun first ride on low profiles in the spring.

Anyway got some paint on some parts this weekend. Time to start assembly

Looks good. Semi gloss blk? Are you happy with the re pop body? Or ...It is what it is?
I bought a rear floor section from them.. and it was brutal! In hind sight I should of bought a set of English wheel dies to pre stretched and rolled out my own beads for a lot cheaper with better quality results. Live and learn.

Yes just some accessory parts and the grill. The rest of the jeep will be Omaha orange. I really have to say We’ve has no issue with the body. All the metal looks great aside from some spot welds here and there.

Some progress yesterday. Homemade hitch painted and assembled, grill finished with paint and radiator mounted and installed. The one small pic is our homemade felt seal. From what I’ve researched this is our interpretation of what was there. Tomorrow the body should get a nice coat of primer.

When your MD Juan dash doesn’t come with Speedo mounting studs you make your own. The Speedo however has seen better days. 1 of 2 we currently have.

Make sure you get the paint off the threads...Those are grounding points for the speedo unless you are planning to ground a different way? Those and and another grounding method won't hurt.

Well it’s been a long time coming. Dad and I finally took the CJ for the maiden voyage around a few blocks today. Ran great no issues. I’m very surprised how easy and smooth it drove actually. Next hood goes on and windshield tomorrow.

Any chance you could measure the location of your tail lights? I am restoring my 63 CJ5 back to original rear lights but need to figure out where they go since the PO cut out that area. :steamed::shrug:
