does anyone have photos of what hoses go where to hook up an aftermarket heater?

i am sure this is common knowledge.
    but not to me.:(

    thank you

On the F head waterpump, the diagram below shows Ref No. 5, it should be a plug or a nipple. A hose from here goes to the heater. The hose on the other end of the heater usually goes into a plug or nipple on the passenger side of the head (at the rear).

Here is a picture of the cylinder head, the other hose connects to the hole filled by the plug labeled "25":

    thank you so much!

i think i want the model with the two holes and then i will figure out a way to divert some hot air to the windshield.
it was 7 degrees this morning.
i am pretty gung ho about putting a serious heater in my willys.

Which side will you put it on?

My SIXTY has space and removable panels in the firewall on the drivers side for mounting the heater. Plus knockouts on the passenger side for running the hoses through the firewall over there to put the heater on the passenger side.

I'm running neither as the temperatures here just 65 miles to the south-east of beautiful down-town Furnace, Arizona don't get low enough to warrant such unnecessary luxuries:):coffee:.

You could always get two of those Mohave Heaters and put one on each side.R)

Take a look at the btu output between the Mojave:

    http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=FLX-640&N=700+115&autoview=sku

    at 12,000 btu

    versus the Moab:

    http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=SUM-991102&N=700+115&autoview=sku

    at 28,000 btu

The Moab is cheaper and rated at almost twice the btu out put of the Mojave.

I have a Moab and I'm happy with it, I mounted it similar to Boyink's excellent blog post:

I think i still like mine.... mounted dead center, would put 4 vents in the middle, defrost, and two outer vents to toast you other side.

    Im guessing it will fit....

    mine: 15-3/4" W x 8-3/4" D x 5-5/8"
    Moab: 9.4"w x 9.35"d x 6.4" h

but having seen the SSdutch setup.. im in love with the MOAB... cheaper IS better in this case....

avoid ole JC? dint they used to be ok? i know they arent great but... its JC....

I like the looks of the danhard vent setup, looks more like the oldschool AC units.

having just studied the SSdutch setup, im thinking more about how to do my dash. seeing as its already hacked up and everything.... i may just have to do something similar.... not to steal ideas or anything, but its a nice setup.

Anyone see an issue with shifters hitting the danhard mounted under the dash?
There would be trans, dual stick 18, and overdrive to deal with.... i doubt there would be clearance issues there.

I think itd be easier to mount up, space wise, as it wouldnt be behind the dash. This would leave plenty of room behind the dash to do an SSDutch style setup of sorts, and not have tight fits as often. And the heater controls are GREAT.... 3 different setups to chose from, looks like you can adjust temp as well as fan speed.

They also appear to have a 46,000 BTU heater  talk about cookin....

but then again that moab is alot cheaper..... R)

JC Whitney sucks! there slow to ship have been known to cancel your order without telling you etc. However in 20 years of doing business with Summit racing I've never had a problem. There are others out there as well that are good.
