That's a good shape. Darker stain or maybe teak, if it isn't already (I can't open attached pictures), either way it looks great.

My last big hurdle in bodywork. I am still have not lost hope to find a way to fix this colander without replacing the panel. I have no practical way to make the ribs. Let's see. :study:

Thanks! Even though it is sometimes a little too much, this is my stress reliever.

More progress...slowly but surely. Welding a lot of holes! Also, dry-fitting the roll bar. I had to use the mighty angle grinder, but it is in!

My next big hurdle, to fit the tunnel hump (whatever is left) to the floor. Wish me luck!

My tailgate needs rescuing. Or maybe a replacement. Someone went to town with a drill...

The PO at some point drilled 3 holes in mine as well and attached the spare rendering it pretty much useless. You can see it in my pic. It is starting to cause a split on the lower bolt so I will be welding repair soon myself. I will be getting a tire carrier like other members, they look good with the fuel tanks. I feel your pain. Good luck.

Look what I found under a thousand layers of paint! Now I think I'm going to keep it and do my best to repair it. Up until this point I was really considering replacing it with a repop, but this made me change my mind and try to recover it. Let's see how it comes out. (y)

I've filled holes like these by placing a piece of brass or aluminum behind the hole then welding it. If it's a large panel, I hit it with a wet rag to slow warping. Ron

Thanks! Right now my main concern is the bottom section. I will probably try to make it at home, since whomever makes them has not made them in a while.

Maaan, I think I remember being better at spreading bondo! Too much hardener and it dries in a sec, I tried little hardener and I had to scrape it away since it did not dried after two days!

You can practice rolling the lower section with thinner steel. Ron
