I noticed their new lineup today when I was there for the sidewalk sale. Looks similar to Hobart.

I did get a bit of work done Sunday.

The girl thought I was doing something artistic.

Used the HF hand brake to get a decent 90* bend

My welding is poor so I’m getting lots of grinder practice.

Tranny tunnel was pretty rotten. I had to make only two tunnels to get a decent fit.

You maybe can’t tell but this is looking lots better.

A welder, a hammer and great persistence can do wonders on a jeep rebuild project. Good looking job!

Not sure if you already use this method to do your body work patches, but I find it works well to cut the patch metal to the size required, then hold that on to the body where the patch will go and scribe around the patch with a nice sharp scribe.

Then cut to the line and do a final easing out to size if needed.

Eliminates big gaps which make welding harder.

I flipped the tub over yesterday and stared with the wire wheel on the inside. The more I look the more I find to fix. There are a hundred small holes drilled in the door surround and around the top edge of the tub. Looks like I'm going to have to paint the outside of the jeep as well.

Anyone have a photo handy of the frame boxing around the spring hangers? Saw a few nice parts a few weeks back but can't find anything now.
