Getting ready to finally fix and install my Winch. I made this mock up a few years ago...

Koenig 100 Winch Mount and U-joints mockup

Anybody have pics of an original mount?, I am thinking of using 1/4 in plate for the plate winch sets on, thoughts?

Adding this link so I can find it when I route the drive shafts.

    PTO Winch.

One of these days I need to scan the Koenig Winch manual copy I got from Dr. Verne 10 or 12 years ago...

    Yes, Please

I am routing the drive line this weekend. What a chore, would have been easier when I had the tub off.

Mocked up the carrier bearing bracket in cardboard, now making one out of sheet metal. When I am happy with it will make it out of 1/8" material. Lots of stuff to clear from the bell housing to the winch.

Alright got bearings and seal for the worm shaft and are putting it back together.

    Bearings - Timken T88 904A1
    Seal - National 471570

Anybody have knowledge or guess on preload for this assembly? The bearings, thrust, run against the worm, so I assume some pre-load. I have 4 paper gaskets that came out of the assembly, two on each end cap, can use to align worm with the drive gear and/or set pre-load on the worm assembly.

    Got the mount built

Used a 10" "junior" channel, bolts to underside of frame and top side of the bottom lip of the front bumper.

Got the carrier bearing bracket built, made a cardboard pattern, then in sheet metal, and finally in 3/16 steel.

here it is installed on the front of the bell housing.
