Hey Billy. I wish I coulda heard your singing voice.
Hey Seth. "Back in the day" is about right for me. My family just ramped up backpacking (hitting the REI garage sales, etc.) and we've been out...
I agree. This was fun.
As I was reading your last couple of posts I remembered a couple years ago having a similar symptom. But mine was that...
Ooh, clogged exhaust.
Intake manifold not bolted down? (I'm really reaching here)
Dad-gummit, Sparky, don't tell her.
She's at camp so I have it for two weeks! Woo-hoo! I'll roll the odometer back sometime next week. No problem.
1968 CJ6 with all the typical standards:
Original Dauntless :v6:
Dana Model 18 transfer case
Is it possible your top is meant for a late model CJ5? I have one of those. Everything looks right for our old jeeps except the windshield mating.
I'll bet it gears the output higher than the input. Think about running the bush hog in first gear.
The straps and rear spring packs are pretty much duplicates of mine; like they were in a two JEEP assembly line. :) And I've never seen that on...
The ebay pics show familiar spring packs and reenforcement strap welded along the frame. I wonder if that's stock from the factory.
Hi Don. Welcome to EarlyCJ5.
If it has 5.88 gears, what's the axle in the front? It sure sounds interesting. Can you get us some pictures?...
When I read the post it sounds like a straight-6.
That is probably a CJ5 windshield dating at or before 1967 (right guys?). AFAIK, you can easily switch to a windshield dating all the way to 1975.
