      Well, I don't think I have any info on the earlier diesel CJ5's. The earliest I have info on is serial number 10629 which is January of 1965. The info I have starts the diesel serial number series at 10153, but I don't when they started. If I come up with anything more I'll let you know.

      57 = Universal
      55 = Open Body CJ5 Diesel
      8 = Universal
      the rest is the sequential serial number.
