front locker?

    Hmm..technically not a locker but a limited slip instead. Difference being this will stay "locked" up to a point and then start to slip. Less traction when you need it, less dangerous as far as breakage potential goes. I have these front and rear. If you have manual steering you will notice the difference when aired down and locked in.

    Yes there were different gear ratios - 5.38/4.88/4.27s and 3.73 all in the front Axles...


    D25 and D27 used different ring gear sizes, but offhand I can't recall if that makes a difference with the PowrLoks.

    If anything it should help transfer the load between both axle instead of one. My brother has one in his D27. He hasn't broke an axle yet. Even though he's running a 255 hp Chevy 350 V-8.

    Put one in my 27 and it really makes a difference.
