    Hey now!
I bought a NT swaybar from EBay a while back but now need the hardware. The diameter looks to be 15/16”. I see mounts online for 7/8” and 1” swaybars. What do y’all think I should buy for this?

Now find me 10” disconnect links with 9/16” bolt tops and 1/2” bolt bottom!

I hope you're talking about the hex head size & not the actual size of the bolt.
For example, a 3/8 bolt usually has a 9/16 head....

I got a set of used JKS quick connects for a JK. Those have 1/2-20 threaded pins on one end and metric on the other. I just ordered another set of the 1/2-20 stainless pins. I'm using a 1 1/8" ADDCO bar.

Jury is still out on function. Just jacking things around in the garage suggests I should carry a bar clamp to reinstall. May save some innovative vocabulary.

i have a 2013 JK and originally installed jks quick disconnects. Taking them off is easy. Worst case they need a couple taps with a rubber mallet. Getting them back on can be a chore unless you get lucky and park perfectly level…. reinstall one side completely and just the top of the other side. then have one of my kids roll the Jeep forward or back and hopefully have them stop when the lower hole is aligned with the pin. Either that or use a jack to get the last hole lined up and then tap in with a mallet.

a couple years ago I switched to the Currie antirock swaybar. It’s pretty awesome. Plenty stable on road and somehow provides even better traction off-road than being completely disconnected.

I’m interested in this thread. I have a D30 with 225 odd fire on stock frame and shocks. Looks like you made a shock tower and moved it behind the axle? I’m trying to figure out how to make the sway bar work. I have a 2.5 skyjacker lift on the jeep and when I turn it leans hard. So I’m swappping the D27 with the D30 and adding a sway bar. Want to see what I need to do to make it work..

Amplify the problem with soft YJ Springs. When I leave my office I have to do a hard left U-turn accelerating onto the highway and the jeep dives to the right very hard. The sway bar mounts arrive today and I’m going to install it but still need to work out the links. Maybe I’ll just rig some thing for a couple days to see how it does.

I think you will need to relocate the shocks behind the axle but that is pretty easy to do just adding a repop upper shock mount and another pin on the spring plate. You may be able to use the original spring plate pin for the sway bay.

If your not doing any hardcore wheeling you can run a swaybar with the shocks in front of the axle. I ran this setup for several years before I advanced my suspension setup with more travel and Currie Antirock swaybar.
We set Steve's 71 up this same way.
I crossed the Rubicon the first time with the swaybar bunjeed corded up out of the way, but the shocks got a but rubbed up.

    I'm kind of a hoarder...:bunny:
    I'm not quite there yet.
If I were to sell them I would probably rather sell the whole assembly which is still bolted together.

    :booo:
I know about hording Jeep parts. So much stuff I want to get rid of - Who needs 8 old driveshafts? Not me , But I have 'em. :bunny:
I'm holding your fan I got last summer at Rubicon hostage until I receive the links. Actually, I saw that fan last week and meant to get it in the box I saved to mail it to you. :bash:

You do. When you start beating your stuff hard enough to wipe out driveshafts on a regular basis, you’ll find it difficult to drop Tom-Woods-kinda-money on replacements every time, and discover that making your own really isn’t that hard. :)

Your 8 driveshafts will turn into a bin labeled “driveshaft parts”

I'm not that attached to the complete swaybar setup...... but I'm kinda lazy too...
I know it sounds silly, but I would probably let it go in person as a complete ready to bolt in setup to someone if they brought me a case of Daddy Sodas and like $40.
Then again my spare parts hoard consists of 2 more complete V6 frames, 2 sets of axles (3.73,4.27), spare 225 that runs, spare 231 that is supposed to run, T14 mated to D18, T18 mated to D20, super D18, 2 postal 44's, postal column, disc brake D30, intermediate pedal set, drive shafts, mint window frame and windshield, grand national turbo setup, 3 aluminum intakes, 2 Buick 215 engines, a pickup bed load of small parts, 2 sets of early low back seats and a complete sway bar setup......
I could build another jeep and it would only cost me like $50 in bolts if I had a tub laying around.....
