Is there a bolt-in tilt steering column available for a stock CJ5 with Ross steering box? Thanks.

No, the steering column is integral to the Ross box.

As far as I know Herms kit is the only on available. I also believe if you want to go power steering the only option is to completely get rid of the Ross box and go with a Saginaw type unit unless you go full hydro. If you are going to do this, and you want a tilt column, it is basically a you just have to figure out how to make it work. Their are a lot of people who have done this and you can find lots of threads here on doing it.

The saganaw boxes are all over the junk yards. The heaver units have 4 bolt attaching points but for normal use and normal size tires, the three bolt ones are fine. My 3/4 ton dodge ram has a 3 hole box. I believe you will have to fabricate some brackets to attach it to the frame. Some boxes have the ability to mount more forward than others and still keep the steering somewhat close. I believe Chevy Astro vans might work due to geometry? Not sure if it is the astro but someone will know for sure.

Tilt wheels are also available all over the place. I would try to stick with one that was very close to what would be a stock size. Maybe one from a wrangler or an XJ. You also will need to cut your dash up a bit to get the new column into the jeep. And make new or modify the existing brackets.

Then you need to find the brackets to bolt on to put a pump on the motor.

i have not researched the kit Herm makes but that may be a better way to go.

I would look for one out of a 70's - mid 80's car or truck stick shift . no wiper switch - high beam on column

AA used to offer a Saginaw conversion kit. I've not checked in a while as I build my own now (sans Spud and I get that from McRuff).

I used an AA kit and 4 bolt box with a tilt Ididit column back in '98. I boxed both front frame horns and built a bolt on brace to help mitigate cracks. Not one issue in all these years. For quality and keeping a "vintage" look, the Ididit column is a win/win.
