Can I use Mobilgear 600 XP 200 oil in my transmission and transfer case? It is a 90 mineral oil. On the MSDS says:"Optimised resistance to rust and corrosion of steel and corrosion of copper and soft metal alloys" but I am not sure. Thanks!

If you search, this has been talked about 10000000 times. You should use GL4 rated gear oil. Sta Lube makes it, among others.
Is your Mobil oil GL4 or GL5?

    From the product description-
"Optimised resistance to rust and corrosion of steel and corrosion of copper and soft metal alloys"
So it'd probably be good with the brass synchro rings in a T90.

I saw that, but I wasn't sure. Does it say which GL is?

This oil doesn't appear to have a GL rating, but rather has an EP4 rating. If I recall, EP means "Extreme Pressure" or something like that. To quote Mobilegear 600XP, intended" for industrial spur, helical, and bevel gears with circulation or splash lubrication and are particularly for gearsets working under heavy or shock loads". This stuff sounds more like an industrial lube rather than a transmission lube. What the difference is, I couldn't say.

Could it be used or should I play it safe and get a GL-4?

My two cents....spend $20 & get the GL4 oil. Your oil would most likely work but it's not worth the chance.
