So on another forum I was recommended to buy a 60" Speedo Cable Which I did. Only trouble is the thing is way to long. I have a 2A tub on what is otherwise a CJ-5 (Bell housing T-90 late two stick D-18 CJ-5 Frame, Crossmember, Rear Axle and Drive line. Yet the cable loops way into the engine compartment. I see this is the length Walcks and others sell for a CJ. Am I missing some secret loop I should have somewhere?

or do I go to NAPA and buy a 50" cable tomorrow?

There were various lengths for various applications.
    60" is most common.

I went to my FLAPS for a speedo cable.

The counterman asked "How long do you want it?"

I said, "A real long time... I'm putting it on my Jeep."

It’s been a long time since I had a Jeep with a speedometer, but I seem to remember it coming out of the t-case and poking out between the frame and body for a short run? Could be wrong. But it would burn up a few inches.

Well its a CJ2A/3A looking Tub on a Modified CJ5 frame and suspension with a DJ-3A engine and CJ5 drive train At last count there are parts from 28 different jeeps in it from Body mounts off a scrapped 46 2A to a Rear Axle from a 71 CJ-5 and a Master Cyl for a 72 CJ-5. with everything in between The title says CJ2A and its been on the CJ5 frame since before 1962 when my dad bought it I was 5 at the time so some details are unknown LOL.
